I was just complaining today that I used to create tooling that was run by 10 or more production workers. Then I exported 100 jobs to China. I'm currently assembling and qualifying much more modest equipment to be used by a couple of chemists. So, what I'm doing is a microcosm for the greater Silicon Valley. A few white collar jobs are being created while a hundred blue collar jobs have been exported to China.
