I am flabbergasted that the housing market can keep going up in the face of these hikes. You are correct however, there is no way out.

Reason is long term mortgage rates are still very low and credit conditions for loans do not appear to have tightened yet either. That credit for mortgages seems to be easier than ever is most perplexing to me when you add Fannie Mae into the mix. Perhaps still low national loan defaults and banks with record earnings accounts for this?
