"A former neighbor of mine is connected with a local Democratic Congressman and his wife.
She told me that the Congressman's wife was telling her about the time(s) that she met Pickles Bush.
My neighbor said that the wife made the following comment about Pickles:
"There's no one there."
Then she went onto explain that the wife elaborated on this comment to the effect that it was was almost as if the Pickles is on some kind of drugs or tranquilizers.
In other words, Pickles walks around in a constant zoned-out state because she's medicating herself. Thus, the lights are on, but no one is really home.
And quite frankly, given Bush's character and what a piece of work he is, is there any other way a woman could cope with being married to this dysfunctional doofus, except by taking drugs?
Moreover, given what I know about families in which addiction is rampant (Bush is a non-recovered alcoholic and his two daughters are practicing and habitual public drunks), the possibily that Pickles spends much of her waking moments in some kind of chemically-induced state is quite high given the well documented overall pattern of Bush family substance addiction and dysfunction.
Now, if this perception about Pickles is accurate, it's no wonder that she tolerates Condi playing the role of loyal mistress to her husband. It is just another one of those unpleasant realities about her husband to which she has purposely numbed herself out.
Perhaps, on some level, she's even happy with it because it relieves her from having to perform certain wifely duties herself. In other words, Condi takes over those tasks for Pickles that Pickles finds unpleasant.
(And I'm not necessarily talking about sex here, though these "duties" could conceivably involve this as well.)
Because Condi is such an obvious power-worshipper, if indeed she is doing the deed with Bush (after all, at one official European event, she reportedly began to refer to Bush as her "hus---" before she realized what she was saying and stopped herself mid-word), in effect she's just carrying out her role of being an all round power-horndog.
At the very least, it's clear to me that she is carrying out the role, on an emotional and relational level, of being Bush's surrogate wife." |
