Damn I just crossed 5 years of investing here in the patch and when money keeps falling on me I moved out of the way too soon. I began to focus on this sector in Q1 2000 and before long invested almost only in this sector. After 5 years I have averaged 41% returns without the full benefit of compounding as have managed to spend about 25% of the gains. I have not been expecting a big selloff when I have raised cash but made the misjudgement of thinking how much higher can they go on this leg up? Commodities have entered a new realm and now I am not so sure being 58% cash this morning is that smart after all. Holding NBR PTEN CHK and thats it for now. Natural gas prices right now are betting on something and I dont see it. I see demand falling with these prices and per Robry data we are in for a very poor draw this week based on 185 GW HDD.
