(Rapaport...February 22, 2005) Ashton Mining of Canada Inc., recovered 457 carats of diamonds from a bulk sample at its Foxtrot property located in north central Quebec. Diamonds collected exceeded the project estimate of 300 carats.

The valuation process is planned for April 2005. Ashton Mining jointly owns the project with SOQUEM Inc., which is owned by SGF Mineral Inc., a subsidiary of the Societe generale de financement du Quebec.
