That was a beautiful empathetic post about putting yourself in someone else's shoes. If any American had experienced what you described I doubt that that person would be for war.... A commentator from BBC was on the radio the other night. He said that what we did wrong was try to squash an idea and religion out of a group of people by trying to destroy them . That the idea will always be there. Instead we should tried to find out why they were striking out against us under the aegis of OBL.. AND maybe some amelioration might have been done. Now there are those who throw out look what happened to England when Chamberlain tried to placate Hitler... That we needed to be aggressive and go into Iraq.. I disagree as one mistake does not mean that working through on some plan might have avoided this mess. We always had the back up.. WAR.. Just like we have the back up.. the BOMB... AND we want to dictate who else can have one. Who made us the bosses of the world. These are the issues that bother me. WHO.
