Re: With forks, the starting points form the slopes. The fork already has three touch points.

The same is true of Linear Regression Channels so I am beginning to believe that forks and L/R Channels are distant cousins or redundant technical tools as are say William’s %R and Money Flow. Both indicators tell you the same information and are rather pointless to use both on one chart as they are repetitious.

Both forks and Linear Regression Channels are a hybrid of trend line analysis which also is nothing more or less than a study of investor sentiment and expected points of emotional support and resistance.

The use of which indicator the trader uses is a matter of personal taste and comfort level.
