<<Up til the first of this year most traffic violations in Georgia were considered felonies, so if you didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign or left your insurance card at home you got taken to jail in handcuffs, your vehicle was impounded, and your license was suspended. Unless you went to court with a lawyer, you would be found guilty, received a STIFF fine, given community service (usually 40 hours of picking up trash on the side of the road in prison garb) and probation.>>

That sounds like an abuse of power to me. I always treat officers with a great deal of respect but an event like that for a rolling stop would force me to hire a savage lawyer. It's hard for me to believe someone wouldn't have sued over being cuffed, jailed and having their car impounded for a rolling stop. Do you have any idea what I'd do if my wife, mother or sister were treated that way by an officer of the law? I'm a fair guy so screw with me if you must....but never screw with my family
