Little Zonkie Arrested By Police
Friday, February 25, 2005 Posted: 7:41 AM EST (1241 GMT)

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) -- Little Zonkie was just leaving the bank after he robbed it, when he realized someone had stolen the keys to his getaway car. He reacted like an honest citizen for the first time in his life and called the police.

Police said they were only too happy to help, and arrested little zonkie after he confessed to the bank robbery.

Little zonkie, identified only as an 88-year-old SI poster who posts inane comments and remarks, robbed the Bank of Copenhagen and tried to get away with just a small sack of money. But he did grab all the Crispy Kreame donuts sitting on the table. The donuts were brought to the bank by the tellers who were having an office party that morning.

As little zonkie carried his haul to the car, he was confronted by a passer-by, who witnessed the robbery and insisted that he return the stolen money and to stop eating the donuts.

After little zonkie refused to share even a single donut with the passer-by, to ensure zonkie couldn't get away, the passer-by took the keys from zonkie's car and refused to return them.

"Little zonkie then called us and said he needed our help getting his keys back," Chief Superintendent Asger Larsen said on Thursday.

He said little zonkie realized that without the keys, he would have to leave his car at the scene, which would put the police on his trail and lead to his arrest anyway.

"It's a pretty straightforward case for us, since this time, the thief actually reported the robbery," Larsen said.

Hey, nice going, little zonkie...
