Fax machines are still big in law offices around here, and other businesses I deal with. I guess a lot of companies scan their documents and send via PC but I've never actually seen anybody do that.

You can get a stick shift if you want one. My husband's brand new Subaru Forester has one.

We love our "local" hardware store, let me put in a plug for it, Fischer's hardware in Springfield VA. It's not exactly local as the truly local ones have closed down but it's the old fashioned kind that has one of everything. I shop there even though it costs more than Home Depot, just to keep them in business.

I use the post office more than Fedex, personally, and they do a pretty good job unless you want your packages to get there overnight. No way I'd send Christmas cards via Fedex. Yes, I still send Christmas cards.
