Interesting to see liberals latching onto the 9th Amendment, and, I presume, he also means the 10th Amendment. Interesting because liberals always seem to find a reason for the government to get involved in our lives. Well, it's not common for them to cite limitations on the government's ability to act but not unique, either, this is pretty much where the right to privacy is found. But the argument that one "trumps" the other is bogus, when rights collide the SCOTUS always goes to a balancing test.

Amendment IX

The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Amendment X

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
