Reminded me of the third episode of HBOs "Carnival."

Carnival ends up in the midwestern town of Tipton. An old "sport", and now Sheriff of Tipton, Lyle Donovan, tells Samson there will be no carnival in Tipton. He won't allow his people who barely have a "pocket to turn out," to be shook down.

In reality, I think people told guys like Donovan to take a hike years ago after an intense, decades long lesson in equality.
