Lets not forget that my original post
Message 21083060
was merely a reaction to a post of someone that asked whats wrong with ANO, it won't move. It was submitted for thread discussion.

if you go looking for anti-Americanism in a foreign culture, you’ll find it

I volunteered that in recent weeks I have been reading about what I understand to be an acceleration of anti-Americanism in Turkey. I thought it a valid piece of news to bring to the thread in the interests of communal investing information sharing. I get the distinct feeling that my contribution is being viewed as bashing ANO. It isn't.

So I plan on keeping my ANO.to shares. ANO's management along with companies like Kinross, Rio Tinto, Eldorado, etc.. seem to think Turkey is safe.
Also, Eldorado seems to have done well working in the same country.

If Turkey is accelerating its anti-amercianism then all the ground rules change IMO and I'd want to know about it.

Have the ground rules changed? I DON'T KNOW but I think it was decent of me to bring the possibility to this boards attention. Now, everyone do whatever they want with the information.

It seems that having spent a few days or weeks in Turkey makes someone an instant authority on it. So let me add my name to the list. I too have spent a short time in Turkey but...I don't know from squat what its about. I know the coffee was crappy and the women were seriously under the mens thumbs. I didn't get the impression it was all white, fluffy and kissy faced there.

To address your question:
Is Yeman any safer than Turkey? Turkey seems to have more infrastructure and the population seems more educated.

Their both probably security toilets.

Cheers

C
