Saddam's brother was caught near the Syria/Iraqi border. Where does it say that Syria was giving him sanctuary? You said it. You said that Assad had handed Saddam's half brother over. So if Assad had handed him over, that means they were giving him sanctuary. Good Lord, you are now contradicting yourself. As far as Bashar being Western educated, that's true. But his attempts at Democratic reform were abortive. He didn't accomplish anything except an alliance with Saddam. Then he allied himself with the Iraqi insurgents. Now he's allying himself with Iran. You think he's a good guy? I have a bridge to sell you.
