There are several success stories of countries that had nukes and got rid of them, and countries that were pursuing nukes and abandoned the quest. We're not pursuing the strategies that were successful there though - Bush don't do diplomacy very well.

I predict Iran will have at least one nuke before Bush leaves office, much like Korea, and it won't be the end of the world. Bush just needs to make clear if AQ detonates an Iranian nuke in the US, Iran becomes a glass desert.
