Yes. The tail does not wag the dog.

That said, as Jill implied, there are ways to get good options executions through brokers that have seats directly in the pits. In that circumstance, usually you can step in front of the inside bid/ask and get hit quickly.

The things I am speaking of apply to most traders however, because most traders use the more common brokers that do not directly execute your options trades, but are paid for that order flow, and sometimes your order may flow to several places before it gets filled. God knows how many people have skimmed off the top by then, and God knows who in the world finally fills the damn thing.
