Yes. The tail does not wag the dog.

That said, as Jill implied, there are ways to get good options executions through brokers that have seats directly in the pits. In that circumstance, usually you can step in front of the inside bid/ask and get hit quickly.


I understand and agree. Some brokers have “the man/woman” in the pit and if you use that broker your order gets pushed ahead. If you use a broker who does not have a rep in the pit then your non rep broker will place your order on in line so execution is slow.

It is important to know your broker.
