I agree with Greg. I am doing the same thing. The fight between the egos of the leaders of these two companies isn't doing much for this potentially huge industry or the two companies. A merger and/or acquisition of one or both would have interesting results. My concern with Summit is with the opthamologists attitude. They are upset over Summit competing with the vision clinics. A previous post noted that the success of this industry is going to come from word of mouth, not through the med community and I tend to agree. I sense the docs don't like the idea of this technology cutting into their eyeglass/contact lens business. I hopeSummit is on the right track with their vision centers. If so, then visx may be left in the dust. Has anyone seen revenue projections on the vision centers?
