Orca. As I have said many times I am non religious and favour none of them. There are crazies in all of them as you have pointed out....."You know that evil knows no bounds of religion. What about the BTK killer:"....

The btk murderer is a single person as are most of the crazies and sicko's that show up most anywhere but they are not a world wide organization engaged in worldwide terror.

You said...."Evil lurks everywhere. In Muslims and Christians."....

Agreed. But IMO there is a huge difference between the odd crazie who's intention is to harm themselves or anyone who may be unfortunate enough to follow them. They are not an organized world group bent on the destruction of our way of life...Us being the infidels.

Having said that I will add that the pain that families feel for the victims of killers like btk are just as real and hurting as the families of 9/11.

IMO organized religions have caused more wars than any other single cause I can think of.

IMO islam at this time in world history is the cause of great death and destruction throughout the world...that is not to say all muslims are bad they are not but I believe their teachings of hate must be changed.

You said...."What can break the cycle of hatred? Only love and understanding can do that. A word called forgiveness comes to mind. These are the Christian and Moslem values that can save the world. Revenge is the beginning of the end."....

Agreed. Big problem as I see it is how do we start this sort of cycle when our very values are seen as I sign of weakness and used as weapons to kill us.?

How can those families who lost loved ones on 9/11 forgive the animals who murdered in the name of religion...how can the thousands of other victims of radical islam throughout the world forgive the terror that takes their lives on a daily basis?

I have said a number of times that Prez. Bush may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but I believe he is absolutely correct to confront radical islam NOW. Not deal with them while they become stronger but defeat them now so the cycle of forgiveness can begin and as long as radical islam continues to murder and terrorize innocent people throughout the world on a daily basis this cycle will not happen.
