It is beyond my understanding. But they must really believe in "the cause", whatever it is.

The "cause" is to prevent the spread of democracy like wildfire throughout the Mideast as a result of Bush's policy. Democracy is now the subject of the domino theory, as predicted.

So, now, we have free elections, not only in Afghanistan and Iraq, but amongst the Palestinians. We have the prospect of Iranian and Lebanese uprisings which could literally bring democracy to these nations. We have Egypt moving toward democratic reform and we have even the Saudis saying they may allow women to vote.

And we have the liberals claiming it is all a big Bush mistake.

We're not there yet. But this is rapidly approaching a critical mass. These bloody suicide bombings may be remembered in history as last desperate attempts to hold the people of the Mideast down.
