Bob,

Concerning low volume rallies/downturns - firstly, I must state that volume is probably the most important technical indicator of the all, mainly because it is a leading indicator, not trailing.

Low volume rallies/downturns can be very misleading. They need to be confirmed by increased volume, which I have not yet mentioned but I am watching closely. If volume does not increase in a short period of time(few days) with the trend going in the same direction, one can interpret such as a weak rally and the probabilty of a reversal will increase.

On the other hand, a low volume rally can be an indicator of further up.

The KEY is that the rally needs to be confirmed by increased volume.
