But you are holding up the fact that China is becoming more capitalistic as a sign that the carrot approach is better than the stick approach. Well, read on....


No, I said that China is transitioning to a capitalistic form of economy and typically when that happens, individual freedoms grow. No one offered China economic carrots to make that transition.

An example of what I'm talking about is the interaction between the EU and Turkey.
