No, I said that China is transitioning to a capitalistic form of economy and typically when that happens, individual freedoms grow. No one offered China economic carrots to make that transition.

Which seems odd because YOU brought China up as the example of how juicy carrots work

I'll scratch that one down to rambling, I guess.

An example of what I'm talking about is the interaction between the EU and Turkey.

Sure it is, buy nobody knows what it is that you are talking about....
