"I just pointed out that by admitting that you do use vulgar and base comments in "polite company" you show yourself to be a vulgar and base person"
If you think this was base and vulgar, then you are one sick puppy. Why don't you attend a book burning? Should be right up your alley. HA!
"It is a thread, Gregory. Think of it as a dinner table. It is an open forum for discussion and learning. There is a private mail function for those whom from time to time wish to wrap their words in privacy. When you post public messages on a public thread you are inviting the public to read and to respond. Sort of like when you respond in the paper to a whore.""
"I don't know what you mean by that except to assume you think it is normal behavior to respond to adds placed in papers by prostitutes"
You're being thickheaded...even for you. What is so difficult for you to understand about a comparison to a bulletin board and a classified section as both inviting responses--which was the point being made?? The truth is that you understand it well enough, but you intentionally try to twist it in such a way that it serves as your standard ad hominem "argument". Pathetic, really!
"Anachronistically blaming people for not using toilet paper before either toilets of paper existed, and then using that to ascribe ignorance and superstition only shows a shallow ignorance on your part, not theirs."
Now, I did not blame anybody, did I? Indeed, I stated that I should have been as ignorant as they--were I living in the same ignorant times. The link between ignorance and superstition is hardly controversial. Even today, where we find tribes of people without any access to a modern knowledge base--we invariably find extreme superstitions.
The "demon" theory of mental illness, etc. is a recognized superstition, and it comports with the ignorance described in the myth stories regarding "Jesus" and company.
"<<<You said that I; "think that believing in mental illness and other afflictions such as blindness as the work of "demons" is the sign of a perceptive and educated person.">>>
Again; you lie"
That was a quote from you:
Message 21083743
I answered it, fully:
"Don't play stupid. The myths state that Jesus believed these infirmities were the work of demons. If Jesus was "God" then he was the most perceptive and educated Being imaginable. To pretend that you do not believe what Jesus believed is to deny Jesus. So again...don't play stupid, please."
So why ARE you still playing stupid? WAS Jesus superstitious when He believed that mental and physical infirmities were caused by "demons"? Do you think that schizophrenia and such are caused by "demons" that can be cast out and over the cliff?? Would you take someone you loved to a witch doctor instead of to a scientific hospital of modern medicine?
And can you please try to answer a post without including your rude, obnoxious, vulgar and base personal attacks. I think people would appreciate that... |
