I did not watch, I seldom if ever do. This year however I had seen 4 of the 5 oscar nominated films. Ray is the only one I have not seen.

Million dollar baby is a wonderful story, well told of overcoming amazing obstacles and then when at the peak of success facing the tragic, going coward, giving up and emotionally extorting the person who loves you, the person who gave you the help needed to reach for the pinnacle of success to murder you and live with the guilt. Downer.

Million dollar baby may represent the most anti "The Passion" in a sense. I doubt that's what Eastwood intended, but it may be why it won over "The Aviator"

The Aviator tells a very true story of the amazing things really done by Howard Hughes and it's even more heroic as Hughes overcame real mental illnesses while doing it. Upper.

Sideways, interesting, girl flick, I don't know. Kinda up.

Finding Neverland is a wonderful movie. I loved it but it ain't the Aviator. And as a EE, I am a little boy who never grew up. Upper.
