Oh, I don't know....I eat it a lot, and I care, but I'm stupid like that....

Over the long run food inflation has not been bad, but over the last 18 mos it's definitely accelerated, especially milk, cheese, butter, some produce (lettuce) and beef. Coffee is way up. Still, I get bottom round roasts (for Patron's succulent pot roast) for 1.99 on sale, that's not horrible.

The key of course is to take advantage the supermarket when they run specials, and have adequate storage and freezing capacity to keep what you've loaded up on. That's nothing new.

OTOH, there is NO question that the price of gasoline, heating oil, drugs 'n health care, education and houses is rising at an accelerated pace.
