What most people don't understand about Irish Catholics is that their brand of Catholicism never had anything to do with being Catholic or kissing the Pope's ass it was a reverse type of protestantism.

I've lived in Italy and believe me our poor dumb Paddy ancestors were never that naturally Catholic.
