Project 6: Buu Thang Pagoda - Completed Jan. 1, 2004
This is a deep groundwater well project we built to provide safe drinking water to a Buddhist Pagoda & Orphanage. During the war, Agent Orange was sprayed all ar ound this area, and many of the children that live here suffer from related birth defects. It can rip your heart out being at this orphanage, but it is also a place of great beauty, the Buddhist nun that runs the orphanage does such an incredible job.
We hope to go back and help build a dormitory building for them, it is a very crowded situation there, now...with several children to a bed.
