Jim,
I've been reading your posts on this thread and would quess that you have a good knowledge on Eximer Eye care procedures. I see also that you have an argumentative attitude towards others on this and other threads. The statements in this post are tenuous at best.
I don't know what the purpose of your post #82 is, but if you are trying to start an argument, it isn't going to work. I don't have the time or inclination for senseless debates.
I will answer your questions this once in the hope that we can have a meaningful dialogue in the future.
RE: "The price moves are predictable". Anyone with sufficient experience in technical analysis would not question that statement. It is done every day with great success.
RE: "Do you mean "up" or "down" in general, or in percentage terms?" Jim, anyone possessing a rudimentary knowledge on elementary mathematics would know that when price changes (up as well as down), this change can be expressed as a dollar value change or a percentage.
RE: Predictions of LCAV's daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly movement (I presume you meant price movement). My purpose for participating in this and other threads is to assist others with their investment timing. I'm not trying to prove my accuracy or abilities with anyone, nor am I interested in entering the "arena" of ridicule or derision. And as to your statement, "...Post your movement predictions so "WE" all can see your accuracy...". You Sir are a group of "ONE", not an assumed spokesman for the Universe of "WE". If you and I have a quarrel, lets keep it on a one-on-one basis, unless you don't feel up to the task without the company of others.
RE: "I'll bet you can't do it consistently, or even in any reliable fashion." Jim, you don't know me or have we had any past association. To pose such a negative statement to a total stanger shows more about your contentious attitude than to develop a friendship.
This statement is a key to your contentious post, you are not an advocate for technical analysis (TA). All of my efforts and arguments to the contrary will not change your mind. Your loss friend, accept or not accept TA, it is your prerogative.; but don't condemn something you know little or nothing about. I've been a technical analyst for over 30 years, and it works for me. I don't have to prove anything to you.
RE: "But I could be wrong..." Jim, this is the only constructive statement you have made on this post. When you make that statement it shows me that there is hope. Wisdom and understanding can only be achieved when there is a willingness to admit that you can be wrong. Remember, "there are none so blind, than those who will not see".
Jim, my purpose in answering you is to make these posts constructive and not to indulge in egocentric dialogues. Take your constructive ideas and abilities and help others in their efforts to achieve successful investments. If you have cause to disagree, do it with tact. Foster good relations with others, it just might give you a good and lasting friend. And, who knows you might even make some money.
Regards,
Harry Lowe |
