I found that Neocon too easily promoted the Neocon party line, but when pressed often professed not to belive in the central tenets. I found this agrivating. He was however, a stimulating intellectual force and led me to learn much. He was always a welcome break from the insults which too often pass for debate.

I would seek him out, often as a challenge, when there was an idea I wanted considered and not merely turned to a one-line reply.
