I've been riding for 40 years. I've had some accidents, when I had a lot of testosterone - luckily I survived, and learned to ride as if I was invisible. No accidents for thirty years, car or bike. When you're invisible, you don't place yourself where you can be hit and assume everyone is psychotic and wants to kill you.

I wouldn't really turn your door inside out - but I would be watching for you, brake, zoom around the other side, and be past you before you could honk. You don't think you're the only one who'd like to take out an annoying lane splitter who's going to get there before you, do you?

I really always hoped someone WOULD try it. The closest I got was having a guy open his door, and then close it quickly before I got there.
