Only that marriage for generations way back before Shakespeare defines same union between man and woman so let that be. Fine. But, could you say that in English, please?? :-) Elroy, now you ask me for the impossible... I guess this has to do about emotions and traditions. Believe it was said already on the thread.... but anyway, marriage for me like in the Bart's - and thus in our - tradition is closely connected to the thing between man and woman. And please don't hit me with the Dark Lady stuff from his Sonnets now... I have absolutely no problem giving the Gays all the equivalent rights of our old "marriage" by legalizing a "Union" of some kind called anything - but marriage. But as someone said, I suspect they won't stop short of that. Or say, 50% of them, who want to achieve equal rights with women in a similar arrangement called "marriage". This is like black guys fighting to become more white that the whites, just for the hell of it IMO. Keep the term "marriage" like is. Give the Gays all the rights to protect their relationships and belongings up to par with married couples. Taro
