SUR.V Sur American Gold Corporation: Company Receives Positive Independent Geological Reports on Comval and T'boli Gold Projects

Tuesday March 1, 2:00 pm ET

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 2005--Sur American Gold Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SUR - News) is very pleased to advise that it has received positive independent National Instrument 43-101 compliant geological reports by Dr. Peter Christopher, PhD. P.Eng on its Comval gold and copper-gold projects and T'boli gold/silver project in the Philippines.
The reports were prepared at the request of the Company to provide an independent summary of the two projects and to propose an independent opinion of exploration necessary to evaluate the potential of the various prospects and deposits.

The reports which are to be filed with the BC Securities Commission (Sedar) and the TSX Venture Exchange confirm that both projects are properties of merit and endorses the Company plans to proceed with an initial Drilling program at its Comval gold project as outlined in the Company's news release dated February 23, 2005. A similar program at its T'boli gold-silver project is also proposed by Dr. Christopher.

Dr. Christopher, who spent several days at the two projects collected his own samples, personally supervised their preparation and submitted them for analysis at the Acme Analytical Laboratories in Vancouver, Canada. One half of the samples were also assayed at the JBMM Facility at Monkayo, Compostela Valley.

Dr. Christopher's "referee" samples confirm the presence of significant gold mineralization at Batoto/Tarale, gold-silver mineralization at T'boli and copper/gold mineralization at Tagpura.

Results from the two laboratories showed good comparison for samples above 1g/t gold (up to 27g/t gold) but a high variation below 1g/t gold which strongly support the Company's use of larger scale bulk tests in order to obtain more representative samples and assay results at these levels.

Validation of JBMM analytical results by the IOS Certified Acme Laboratories and the IPL Laboratories have now been obtained by the Company which provides exceptionally strong confidence in the analytical procedures employed by the JBMM Laboratory.

DRILLING PREPARATION

The Company is now proceeding steadily towards its initial 30-35 hole Batoto Drilling program and is currently widening access roads to the planned Drill sites.

All sampling practices are approved by Mr. Rennie Blair, Company President who is the qualified person as required by National Policy 43-101 and who is the technical person responsible for this news release.

Sur American Gold Corporation trades on the TSX Venture Exchange (Canada) with trading symbol SUR-V.
