German Unemployment Soars americanfuture.typepad.com By Marc Schulman on Germany The Financial Times reports that the German unemployment rose to 11.7% (!) in February. That's more than double the US rate, and spells trouble for Chancellor Schroeder,who faces an electoral contest in a few months. What a shame! Maybe the Christian Democrats will regain power. That would be good news for the US. I wonder what the Europhiles will have to say about this.
