IMO it's really sad that huffs tend to obviate the engagement of questions, but I wouldn't deny anyone his right to have have them if he prefers.

I don't think neither CB nor I are uncomfortable with Dr. Summers question about innate abilities.

In fact, we (at least I) wanted him to release the transcript of his speech so that we could discuss his thoughts on the matter with more specificity.

But, you are right though, we do not want to shut down unpopular views (not that Dr. Summers views are all that unpopular). It is important that Dr. Summers gets to explain his remarks with respect to innate abilities.

If he can justify his remarks, how can anyone argue against it?
