"What's a strangle?"

Ummm, that's when you are short a lot of shares & you check
in on the market to find the stock going gangbusters after
some major announcement.

Strangle. A position consisting of a long (short) call and a long (short) put where both options have the same underlying stock, the same expiration date, but different strike prices.
