LOL...why was the case dismissed? The guy VOLUNTEERED to get zapped for gods sake and even signed a waiver form, as do all volunteers....He didnt like getting zapped and felt everybody is geting rich on frivolous lawsuits, so why not him....

In case any of you bothered to look into this suit, it was a quickie and a no brainer.....I find it funny that tasr is quoted as saying they feel 'vindicated'.....they are pushing more crappola. As I said this guy VOLUNTEERED to get TASR'd and the waiver he signed absolved the company of any liability should something go wrong...did anybody really believe TASR would lose this lawsuit? Frankly, I also dont think they will lose too many of the other lawsuits, but they are far more 'rea;' then this last one...and again, why doesnt tasr get smart and go ahead and declare these things as lethal/dangerous or whatever...have them regulated and get that liability monkey off it's back?? Nobody can sue them then..no groups can come after them claiming they are unsafe and wanting them off the market...the gun haters have not been able to get guns off the market...if tasrs are regulated they wont be able to get them off the market either....

I had posted awhile back that I got to go to a demo on TASR for one of our local police depts....I was very impressed with the power of the weapon and also quite scared at the power of the weapon and how it may be misused...anyway...I touched base with one of my police buddies and I asked if they had decided to purchase tasrs yet. He told me everybody in the force wants us to get them, but the folks that make that decision are waiting. I asked waiting for what? and he said there are alot of safety issues the govt is looking at, they are concerned about the company itself and what may occur because officers are being looked at for posible fraudulent actions and.......they have heard talk that a major gun manufacturer has a prototype weapon almost ready, it is a LETHAL weapon that will be sold only to people with proper licenses or professions....they are supposed to see a demo within 60 days, the price is very low and the gun maker is offering alot of incentives to get their current customers to either switch from tasr's and/or incentives for new customers...But, the one positive in all this is ALL the cops wanted this type of weapon.....Now, TASR must know this. TASR must know many are holding off on buying because of these issues....they could make these issues disappear in a blink and get sales booming again, but they dont.....why? And certainly they must be aware as I am sure prospective customers have told them, that a major gun maker has a prototype just about ready to go.....I asked if it was smith and wesson and he said NO, but he couldnt tell me who the gun maker was...so now it looks like smith and wesson and yet another major gun maker is entering the market......Considering TASR knows they can make all liability issues disappear and start shipping large orders immediately if they get off this NON LETHAL kick they are on, I fail to see whay they are fighting a battle they cannot win, imo....I think when all is said and done, any judge that see's the TASR work and in action, will surely impose some kind of regulations on the weapon..well, at least stop them from selling them until the proper gov't ruling agency regulates them, anyway.....so why is TASR fighting this....can anybody answer this...TASR has so much to lose by fighting this and so much to gain if they get regulated and move on...so what are the reasonings behind TASR bending over backwards to keep the liability factor squarely on them, stopping many sales in their tracks, when they can avoid this very easily?.......
