Orca, I respect your skepticism about the means by which the WTC towers collapsed. The truth is not easily deciphered from the dearth of information that has become publicly available. I would strongly encourage you to take the time to view the videos of one of the Tower collapses available on this webpage: reopen911.org I'm a retired general contractor. I've worked in highrises, I've seen a lot of demolitions. I've never seen gravity take building debris and hurl it upwards and laterally as you will see in the two videos available here. You may take comfort in the official story, but I find that trusting my own eyes, instead of government lies is the best policy. What we are looking at in these two videos, i.e the hurling of debris laterally, is certainly not the result of gravitational forces. Let me ask you this question: If the 9/11 Commission was a legitimate investigation into the events of that tragic day, why did the Commission avoid answering at least 400 intelligent questions posed by the Family Steering Committee in various communications directly addressed to the Commission? In fact, this video analysis of the collapse of WTC 1 clearly shows that the upper (and undamaged and unheated) portion of the building above the fires accordianed down onto the damaged section: whatreallyhappened.com Scroll down about 1/5 of the page and you will see two side by side photos. What you are looking at is the start of the collapse of WTC 1. Notice that it is the core of the building that is coming down the fastest, judged by the rate at which the designated transition point on the mast is coming down. Mike Rivero, the owner of the WRH website describes this in pixel units (px). While the building remains intact up to several floors above the impact damage (i.e. the shell shows no sign of collapse), the pixel unit value of the tower point of reference collapses from 221 px (61+160) to 207 (55+152) px. Ergo, whatever caused the initial phase of the collapse operated independent of the structure at the level of the plane impact and fire. This is most troublesome for those who created the fairy tale about "pancaking trusses". *** On another note, one cannot help but wonder what aspect of "national security" is being served by the suppression of the testimony of former FBI translator and whistleblower Sibel Edmonds.
