I take exception to that. Excerpt from: Navy Times, Feb. 21 2005 edition, page 8 "Quality over Quantity, tougher re-up standards, targeted seperations top new force cut plans" By Mark D. Farman(Times staff writer) "Quality, not quantity will be the Navy's manpower mantra in the coming months and years. As part of an end-strength slashing strategy to trim 25,000 sailors by the end of fiscal 2007-and perhaps 25,000 more by 2011 Navy officials plan to implement a variety of long-term "force-shaping" policies. Those policies will result in thousands of sailors getting the boot while improving advancement, promotion and career oppertunities for otheres, officials say............" Tyop's mine.
