It's normal for Investment Bankers to host calls to give more exposure to a company especially if they are a market maker or deal in convertibles for that company, or... The PR you quoted was from Monday. Today, being Thursday, probably still trumps it. ;^) I suspect there's some piece of financial business in the works that they just don't want to risk getting Qs about. Whether that's a financing or a takeover, I have no guess whatsoever.
