Its an open conspiracy so I wouldn't even call it a conspiracy any longer. The UN is totally Globalist, Socialist/Communist and weird with a capital W. Their leaders writings openly endorse UN taxation, ways to defeat nationalism, ways to form a UN armed force etc. The UN USED the US to get created in the first place and get to where it is today. Once the US has served its UN enhancing purpose, you can bet we are on the chopping block. If or when the UN does get Nuclear weapons under its control (for peace and security of course), there will be NO checks and balances against the UN at that point.
