Hello Pezz, Last Night's Report:
(a) I sold my Enerplus at CAD 48.6/shr, realizing a profit of Message 19065726 <<6/26/2003 CAD 31.19 ...>> 56% cap gain +, give or give some more, 20% dividend on original investment, I thought adequate;
(b) I doubled up on my speculation against TOLL Brothers via purchase of TOL 2007 Jan Leap Puts strike 80 at USD 10.7/shr. The bet against TOL is now personal;
(c) I bought into Connarcher Oil & Gas finance.yahoo.com at CAD 1.19, joining the party after a most recent doubling, hoping that the buffet table are still piled high, and the ladies are still perky; and
(d) I bought into Blackrock Ventures finance.yahoo.com at CAD 11.20/shr, a party that is next door to Connarcher, hoping that should I strike out at Connarcher, I can get lucky at Blackrock.
I do not know much about Connarcher and Blackrock, but David (Taikun) does.
I also got news that the two ocean fronting industrial units I bought into near the old HK airport back in 1997 that had been yielding 8%+- since then now has an imputed land value that is 6-fold of same when I bought, representing a 20% per annum return by capital gains plus the 8% per annum yield for patiently waiting.
The valuation is based on a new land transaction nearby the units. The HK government must announce their airport redevelopment master plan decision this September, and stirrings are already happening, since somebody must already know something.
The gas storage tanks across the way was announced to be scrapped. A subway station is designated to take its place, underground, leaving what will be above ground to imagination.
I figure prime harvesting time for one unit should be 3 years from now, at perhaps a 10-fold gain, and another unit at 6 years from now, at possibly 15-fold loot.
2008, the year of Beijing Olympics, is shaping up to be a very good year, as my Macau bet ought to mature as well. I just need to survive the years in between.
