The Americans are Canada's best friend. Viewing those videos, however evokes the old saying "with friends like that, who needs enemies?" That was a perfect example of the "ugly" American, seen more and more, not just in Canada, but in the world. Another saying, "pride before the fall" comes to mind, but actually, I don't get offended, but am somewhat amused. American economic and cultural dominance is so complete, they can't believe there can be any independent thought in all of Canada. And the more bellicose they become, the more life is breathed into the near comatose Canadian corpse. I hear it more and more, complaints against unfair business practices and unfair trade practices, all the while they are mining Canada of its natural resources and taking over her industries and businesses. Canada to the USA is like Finland was to Russia. And in some ways, the USA is indeed becoming like the old USSR. But I guess we unworthy Canadians ought to be thankful and humbled to be allowed to exist in the shadow of the United States of America. <g>
