The underlying principle to the whole business is that all the fossil hydrocarbons and coal used to be alive and kicking. They have gradually been stripped out of the atmosphere and buried permanently [until people came along]. Earth is being returned to its natural lively state, before the ice age began due to lack of carbon in the biosphere. We've been here before Maurice. Turn back the clock to when the Earth was young, rich in CO2, and low in that nasty pollutant, O2. We'd not have to worry about the climate, we'd suffocate in minutes. Good for plants though. Ashley
