Dave, Gems is also a supplier of PCS and other phone equipment. They see PCS as a growth opportunity. However, I still think standard paging has more growth in it. For one thing, size and cost are important, and a phone will always be bigger and more costly than a pager. Then there is the privacy deal. I don't mind folks paging me when I'm doing something more important, but a phone call that rings forever is bad news. I also hate the fact that I can be reached when I may not want to be reached. But cost is the big deal for most. A pager costs about $5 a month in most places. A phone of any sort will cost several times that amount. Also, internationally, paging networks are cheaper to build and maintain that phone networks. MB
