AMLN showed up on a technical stock scan that I do each Sunday and post in this thread’s header. If you count backwards five daily candlesticks and mentally erase these from the chart below that will leave you with what the chart looked like last Sunday.

At that time it had a bullish white candlestick from the previous Friday’s close and several technical buy signals in place.

In retrospect something fundamental such as news must have happened to affect AMLN negatively this week because the stock did not perform as the chart predicted that it should.

A more direct answer to your question is that I base my picks purely on chart data and not on any fundamental data. My perspective is that all fundamental data is reflected in and measured by the chart data.
