Very troubling.

My pessimistic side tells me that if AQ has a nuclear weapon or sufficient radioactive material to make a few dirty bombs, setting them off would require less planning, money and coordination than the 9/11 attacks required. And fewer terrorists. These factors scare me since they make such an attack all but impossible to deter.

My optimistic side tells me that top AQ leadership is on the run, ineffective, and unble to do much since 9/11 thanks to our counterterror efforts.

Which side is right?
