Now that we are sharing second hand information I thought I would add to it by including the following:

"...By the way, I heard a rumor from a XXXXXX here in Menlo Park that there will be some McDonald's merger announcement soon. This may be speculation, but the word is spreading...."

I have removed the name of the contact reference. Take it for what it's worth. I have read similar both here and at the Motley Fool. Replies have been both ways. Some think it's a joke, some consider the rumor reasonable. I take the latter side. Sure KKRO has had no positive earnings.. but the concept is a success. Revenues have been increasing as well as same store sales. The chicken is great although expensive. That's what is so great. KKRO caters to an affluent group of people who are willing to pay in some cases $2 more than a comparable meal at BOST. I should point that 'comparable' is not quite correct... KKROs food is higher quality, fresher, and has less fat. Well.. blah, blah, blah, you know the story.
