That's what that 1 in 10 says. No, it's says people were adjusting their life to fit a niche that would dodge the draft. Hence the term draft dodger. Not a lot of folks took a year off to see Europe before they went to collage. At its core it meant most people were not drafted. 1 in 10 means just that, that 10% of draft age men where drafted. I admit I thought it was less, but 10% is still a fairly small minority. Tim
