Me? I was totally organic, in the Rodale sense of the word. Not vegan; used chicken and horse manure, fish oil for dormant spray,coconut based sticker for sprays, etc; not biodynamic, which is organic and witchcraft, like burying a cow skull in a corner of the field. For about the first 10 years, was certified by CCOF (only) , whose standards are much more rigid than the state, which started late in the game.
But, I also had a lot of Organic Chemistry, which is about carbon, benzene, groups of benzenes, etc. In that world, almost everything commercial farmers use is based on carbon. |
